In his book, CLOWN, Emmett Kelly wrote of painting scenes like this. He was a skilled cartoonist and illustrator, and did a wagon panel like this of Disney characters, signing with a note saying, "With apologies to Walt Disney". He also told of a boss saying of his big signature, "Well, we see Kelly certainly believes in signing his name." He went back and painted it over, reducing his name to small letters.

I know there were more than one of these fairy tale tabs. The one in Baraboo the picture is painted on.

It's paint on wood. There is a different image on each side.
