I built this aluminum fire hoop

for "Pippin" on Broadway that an

excellent acrobat leaped through

I just remembered his name

it is Phillip Rosenberg

"Pippin" had a circus theme

with many of our elements

They (the director) just

called them by wrong names

It was very frustrating

The flame was nearly continuous

except for the 4" gusset where

the handle was screwed into it

My dear friend Rosa Suarez from

the riding act family has been

doing specialty sewing for me

for many years & she sewed up

a heavy fiberglass sleeve for

the hoop to be extinguished in

Over many years 2 of Rosa's

daughters worked in my shop

Martha (Martita) who was the

fastest at mirroring the balls

than anyone ever & Maggy who

was delightful & dexterous &

always a few steps ahead of me

I love them all

I have heard the term "OSHA approved steel toed work boots" in the past but until now I never knew what they were. Thanks for clearing it up, Chic.

At my age & disposition Wade

I wear whatever I damn please

Somewhere in a closet I still

have the steel toe work boots

issued by the US Coast Guard

(thanks for noticing)

I guess China has no OSHA

A Chinese politician told me last year, "China has many law's but they only apply to you and other foreigners."
