Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
Incredible sets & scenic elements by Eugene Lee are magnificent as are the costumes by Susan Hilferty
This Oz Head unit is stored at deck level offstage right & gets tracked by automation both sideways to center & then downstage to this central position on a very raked deck We are 1 of the last shows to have a raked show deck slopeing from higher in the rear to lower downstage towards & overhanging part of the orchestra pit with tremendous amounts of automation tracks & cabling as well as intricate plumbing for smoke & fog The show utilizes a few hidden elevators from the trap room below to the stage level
THESE ARE THINGS THE AUDIENCE NEVER KNOWS HOW MUCH DESIGN AND RIGGING GOES INTO A SHOW !
