This main part of the building was taken from the shop building from the Sarasota WQ. The Quonset hut roof in the background was the train shed and the beams off the main building ( roof over the audience seating ) are from the roof of the grandstand/sail loft building. p.j.
It would not have been hard to put "L" shape flashing up under the tin of the side wall and have it lay flat on the roof. From what I understand, the show had no money and very little time to move all these buildings in 1960. p.j.

This joiint was kind of a clean slate
the 1st time I saw it but it clearly
had potential to support the circus
1st we eliminated the drab gray of
the entire interior by painting the
majority of it a deep blue
Then with some guidance from Don Foote
I came up with a rough sketch for a
proscenium back wall with an enclosed
multi level carpeted band platform
See the next few images

Where that curved roof rear section
joined the main structure thare was
a never ending fight to seal it from
inclement weather (not kind to Don's
fabrics & feathers)
We also had ¾ inch poured & cured
in place Tartan Rubber squares to
eliminate the use of several types
of older nasty rubber covering for
all 3 permanent ring areas
The side & front seating areas
were built on segmented ramps
hinged at the back with the
intent on being able to have
a trendous flat floor space
by raising all of the ramps
to accomodate conventions
& trade shows but that never
became a reality
