I could never abide either one. Whatever name one puts on it, when this came out, the Big Top over there, for me, was lost forever. This damn thing belongs in a pumpkin fair.
Where the Ticket Wagon sits, was my old spot for 86 Boss's Sleeper. Eddie Firlein had stakes driven which kept me in line as I approached, and stopped me right where the front bumper needed to be for Barry Young to rig for the King Pole. Directly across from 86 was parked 85, and both had banners for the show's attractions. With the Side Show and Menagerie gone, these went with them, and the midway's layout never flashed the same.

Johnny Pugh's 1st tension top
had 8 king poles (trusses)
& no other interior supports
His 2nd version only had 6
