When I first got around the thing, the Side Show sign was in a heavy frame with big letters. I was told in some town it had blown down and was heavily damaged. So in the mornings, and often between shows, it was lowered to ground level to avoid high winds. Then, someone made this one, a net, well-bordered, with the letters sewn in as we see. Obviously, this was the answer, promising far less damage from the elements.

This was where I 1st met Ward Hall
I always enjoyed Roger Boyd's
elaborate Side Show pitch
I remember it to this day
He just couldn't pronounce
Guanaco very consistantly
(but yesterday is a blur)
The illustration on the
panel at the far right
hardly resembled that
really big badass chimp
Later he was presented
in his own pit show as
a "Killer Ape" which
was actually correct
The show I pretty much grew up with, sure do miss it.

I don't recall that little
awning over the program box
I'll ask Kenny about it
