This Matty Roubert production was a 1920 short. As we know, titles can't be copyrighted, so another CIRCUS DAYS was done later as a feature, with Jackie Coogan in the role of Toby Tyler. This is the same Jackie Coogan whose parents robbed him in childhood of his millions, leaving him with nothing as he grew up. This led to the Coogan Law, a California decision, which commands child actor fees to be safeguarded from mismanagement, with the standard 10% going to the agent, appropriate taxes paid (when federal and state income tax came in), and only 10% allotted to parents or guardians for expenses.

Not quite politically correct
in this day & age of protests
I remember enjoying the TV show
"Amos and Andy" that would never
fly today either
I recall that Amos was the cab
driver who did the setups for
the episodes but wasn't much
involved aside from explaining
It was George Kingfish Stevens
an attorney that was the main
character & his wife Saphire
They were friends of good
natured Andy that would get
caught up in the shenanigans
of the Kingfish
