I lived in Florida after Circus World had become "Boardwalk and Baseball". If I remember correctly, it was Spring training facility for the Kansas City Royals. We went to a game there, and even in spring it was a sun-blasted, concrete heavy place. Wikipedia says it made a profit for a couple of years existence, but in the long-term was not successful. It sounds like ownership problems were part of it- but I do wonder about the sun and concrete.

Any details on the business side of the operation that anyone wants to share?

Only in private conversation

& definitely off the record

CHIC--Come on and dish. Everything else is out there by now, so what's the secrecy about this grand boondoggle?

While we're at it, I've got a number of dark stories about that Venice operation that were the order of the day, but not so well-hidden, even while transpiring.

Let's say the honeymoon between

the Felds & Mattel didn't last

very long (kinda like the one

with Judge Hofheinz for many of

the same reasons) & Irvin had

to relinquish parental rights

to the park for it to happen

Attorneys had a field day with

an incredible tremendous very

detailed contract for which

elements would fall under the

supervision of "TGSOE" or not

Mattel brought some goonies

from the Grand Ol Oprey team

that made most major choices

The dueling factions made the

Red Show / Blue Show rivalry

seem like preschool sqabbles

In the end nobody won much

The park lived under a curse
