This building was awful, probably one of the worst in the United States for a circus of the magnitude of Ringling. the area for setting up the animal tent's was so small there was initially a whether they could even be set up. At to that the time of year the show played here, with drizzly cold rain, and I for one was so glad to leave(bad new's was the next date was the Boston Garden which was almost as bad.} I don't think sometimes folks appreciated the logistics of getting a show the size of GSOE into some of the buildings they played. Newer buildings with a thought to multi events and connecting exhibition centers were definitely better then the older buildings designed solely for a sporting venue.

I wonder if Art Concello
had the "X" on the flags

That Stadium is long gone Wade
It was only 1 of a tremendous
herd of awful horible terrible
very difficult joints we played
If you did the "Rodeo Route"
2nd year tour of TGSOE surely
you know of many of them
In some years a few were even
on the "Honeymoon Route"
A few made Venice look good
I'm comforted that I don't
do that anymore
I did the "rodeo route" three times, and for the most part, with rare exception it was awful.
