This is probably the type of machine Vachel Lindsay wrote about in his wonderful circus poem, the "Kallyope Yell"
It is too long to post here, and it really needs to be heard recited by someone who can replicate Lindsay's peculiar style (I first heard it from a recording made by his son.)
