Yes this is the photo that ran with the story about the tragic fall The Wallendas walked the high wire during their seven person pyramid at the State Fair Coliseum in Detroit on Jan 30 1962 when the pyramid collapsed L to R bottom row Dieter Schepp Mario Wallenda Richard Faughnan Gunther Wallenda L to R second row Karl Wallenda & brother Herman Wallenda On the chair is Dieter's sister Jana Schepp Jenny's 2nd husband Richard Faughnan & Dieter Schepp were killed in the fall Dieter's sister Jana and Karl's adopted son (nephew) Mario were injured
Kenny Dodd was standing right at the end of the rigging when they fell, and saw the entire moment.It is told that Mario remained in a wheelchair from that day.
