Lucio was widely acclaimed as the greatest bareback clown of them all, and to some this included Poodles and Tommy Hanneford. But in the backyard, Lucio was never the Grande Arteeste. He spoke to me almost daily, and even would stand with us workingmen and calmly pass the time of day. He was never above offering a wave and a smile, and the one we see here serves to reaffirm the memories. Lucio, RIP.
