You can easily see the square nut

that holds the wheel on the axle

The expression used in both the

circus & theater industries of

"Making The Nut" is derived from

the days when the shows wagon nuts

were held as ransom for all local

bills to be paid before the show

could move on to the next town

the weekly operating expenses
