Both this stylized clown image

as well as the postage stamp

were intended to be suggested

by Lou's most famous face but

not by any means a true likeness

(more to the story but not here)

I have mentioned before that

my original design had vertical

elephant faces as seen in the

Cristiani Wallace Route Card

yesterday in those side panels

It was Irvin who had just paid

very handsomely for this clown

art that made me change them

He was the boss & I liked him
