An indication of his stardom on the Cole show. Somehow, for his 1951 filming of GSOE, DeMille borrowed Boyd for a cameo, riding Topper, in a Ringling spec. This appearance went further, following DeMille's affection for audience reaction shots, and included a kid in his Hopalong Cassidy get-up, yelling out, "Hi, Hoppy!"
