I'm not sure about this, but the lady may be Pat Scott--??--the wife of Arky Scott, the Cole show's Supt. of Elephants. Someone may have a more conclusive ID.
I can be sure this is the Washington & Hill lot, in L.A., always verified by the venerable old Mode O' Day building in the b.g., which stands to this day. Times changed, and the big city closed in, erasing all traces of circus history, so I think of this building as a sort of tombstone, guarding memories of a storied past.
