The blog has recovered from its long illness and is up and running. Barbara is recovering from her health difficulties and is up and about. And spring is upon us! The flowers are blooming! And circuses are opening again, not closing. Life is good again. And there are Roy and Cindy to welcome and support those we love and to show their care and support! It is a happy morning!
After a longer than normal period of winter-like (for your area) weather, the spring flowers are blooming, the trees are turning green, and now the Blog is back. Thanks Buckles, Barbara, and all the Woodcock clan that make it possible, you made my day.
This is a great day. Very reassuring to see you back. You've dealt with a long, rough winter, and are now out of the barn and back on the arrows. Bless you guys.
I am older than you and need your blog in the morning for moving on, with my 85 year old life. It gives an old townie a peek into circus life. I still remember the beautiful red head on the lead elephant at "Circus World". Keep blogging, please.
It is getting harder for Buckles to work on the Blog. He says he has ran out of steam. His illness is getting in his way. But he is doing real well in his day by day life. He repeats his stories, but other than that, he is doing fine. As far as the blog goes he has been away from i too long. I tried to buy him a new one, and he wouldn't have it. He wanted his old one fixed. Shannon tried his best but it was no good. So too much time was lost. Dalilah just bought him a new one without him knowing about it. NOW HE IS GETTING USED TO THE NEW ONE. It will take a little while. We are all trying to help him. GOD WILLING, he will get it. He has been away from it too long, we are pulling for him. All my LOVE to every one....Barbara....

Let us pray not.
This site, for all we loyal followers, has become its own form of religion.
Like a long whiff of oxygen to see the blog up and running this morning. A breath of fresh air and a great way to start the day!

I agree with all the sentiments expressed. Great to have blog back.

If enough of us "groupies" keep
posting comments on this or any
other previous jackpot then we
will continue to have access to
all the previous great material
Keep on keeping on folks
That's a shame Billie Lou
It was a thoughtful comment
I certainly agree with you
Thanks, Chic.

Dear dear Barbara thank you
for this detailed explanation
I know it must have been very
difficult for you to write it
Many of us have been selfish
about pressing him to continue
I am certain that there were
many years the Blog gave him
both pleasure & satisfaction
recalling so many great times
as well as realizing the many
folks that loved & respected
him & his knowledge from so
many parts of the world
We counted on it each & every
day as shown by all the notes
Clearly it became much more
of a chore & obligation to
Buckles as time went swiftly
by for all of us very sadly
Buckles has always done far
more than just his share
We all owe him to retreat
from this as a daily mission
I will be in touch with you
& Shannon when I return to
Sarasota in about a week
Perhaps as we discussed in
the past there might be
the possibility of a few
of us to keep a version of
the blog if only on a less
frequent basis
With all my love & respect
to your entire family
Chic
By the way I know all about
"running out of steam"
It's been difficult for me
to accept my very limited
stamina & I'm merely just
three quarters of a century
Everything I pick up seems
to be twice as heavy as I
recall it ever to be
I remain very thankful for
what I can do & remember
I'm up in New York dealing
easily with some theater
related stuff & grateful
for the nice weather
Shannon told me that there
is a good chance for this
coming Monday the 18th to
have another shot at SONNY'S
Woo hoo I can't wait for it
Let's hear from the troops
I just spoke with Shannon
& indeed there will be a
gathering of the clan at
Sonny's tomorrow the 18th
Hope to see the folks who
are in town & can make it
