AKA, Hasn Bin Hosn, and Mr. Information. How I miss the man. If I make it to The Big Lot, Bobby Gibbs will be my first stop, so I can catch up on all the hottest jackpots.
But wait a minute. Does The Big Lot have a Blue Room?
I AM SURE THERE IS A BREAKFAST CLUB TABLE UP THERE. DON'T KNOW ABOUT A BLUE ROOM WITH ALL THAT LIQUEUR AND GAMBLING GOING ON !!
Hi, this might come completely out of left field, but I'm a producer at a television station in Denver.
I am trying to track down what happened to an elephant named Roger who was in Denver in the 1890s. It's for a series we do called Verify Legends where we try to figure out the truth behind the stories you've heard all your life.
Roger was an attraction at the Manhattan Beach Amusement Park until he accidentally crushed a boy to death in 1891.
One telling of the legend of Roger has him having been called Rajah, and I came across a blog post of yours from 2008 about an elephant named Rajah.
Anyway, you and some of the commentors had detailed lineages and name changes for elephants, so I'm hoping you might be able to help me.
I know Roger lived at the Central Park Zoo (Menagerie) before coming to Denver, and I think he might have been one of the bulls W.W. Cole kept at the NYC zoo.
Anyway, please feel free to email me or call me at 303-945-5377. It would be much appreciated.
