#17 Sarasota!

I got my Draft Notice in 1956 when my Family's elephant Act was booked for a season with Jack Moore's Tex Carson Circus who supplied a Truck Driver.
With a Months' time on my hands I took a Bus down to Sarasota and got a job in Hugo Schmitts' Elephant Dept.
In all my Circus life I had never been in Southern Florida and it was like Gomer Pyle goes to the Big City.
