Kinko and partner Franz went off the 1938 Cole show in the disastrous mid-season shut-down, and joined Clyde and Harriett Beatty on the sister show, Robbins Bros. The team continued with the Beattys during the Hamid Steel Pier season of 1939, and then into the Clyde Beatty Jungle Zoo, which opened December 2, 1939, in Ft. Lauderdale. When Beatty's first son visited there from Ohio, he found a good friend in Kinko.
