To my eye, this photo rivals those of Richard Avedon with Dovima and the D'Hiver elephants. And the words of Avedon's reviewer, "a juxtaposition of diaphanous beauty and brute power" are appropriately applied for Barbara, her leopard, and her elephant.
I agree. This picture is classic. Had Barbara's right arm been extended parallel with the leopard's back, the composition would be perfect, but darn close just as it is. Beautiful photo.
