Back in the early 1980's, when the INDIANA JONES films were popular, there was a short-lived television series loosely based on the exploits of Frank Buck (who in his day was regarded by the public as a real life Indiana Jones.)
This series lasted 17 episodes, and was cancelled rather quickly due to low ratings. Co-starring for 6 of these was Sean McClory, who stole the Beatty film RING OF FEAR, as crazed ringmaster Dublin O'Malley. In this series, he was the suave, sophisticated proprietor of the famed Raffles bar, in Singapore, where the story was based.
