I am the granddaughter of Ramon Escorcia and am looking for any information, other pictures, or stories about him. I believe was inducted into the the Circus Bandleader Hall of Fame? I never got to meet him, but would be very greatful of anything you can share about him with me.

Hi Jeanne I'm sorry but I only
knew your grandfather briefly
over several years on Beatty in
the 60s & can say he was a very
nice fellow & a great musician
I believe Roger Smith knew him
much better than I did back then
Perhaps he will fill you in
I'll ask my pal Kenny Dodd
about him when I return to
Sarasota this Sunday as he
was the producing clown &
the show's mailman during
those years with Ramon
I played under Charlie Stevenson, and he spoke fondly of Mr. Escorcia. I believe Escorcia had the Cole Brothers band for awhile.
I'm told that your grandfather
aside from playing trumpet for
William "Boom Boom" Browning
was the band leader for a few
circuses including Hoxie Bros
& Sells & Gray
Hi Jeanne Johnson
My pal Kenny Dodd has loaned me
2 photos that include Ramon Escorcia
I can scan them & send them to you
if you would send your E address
