It is, indeed. The big head at Lower L is a version of Edgar Bergen's vent dummy, Mortimer Snerd. Bergen's lead character was Charlie McCarthy, the wise-cracking dummy in the full tux who sported a monocle. Next was Effie Klinker, Bergen's comical elderly lady dummy. It was first thought impossible that a ventriloquist could make it on radio, but Bergen and cast became a sensation, even co-starring with W.C. Fields in the circus send-up, YOU CAN'T CHEAT AN HONEST MAN. Jung was Ringling's top producing clown for many seasons, turning out the big gags from his shop in Tampa.
