Fay's acrobatic abilities enabled him to sell this act. We had him with us when Beatty-Cole tried that Winter Tour of 1980, and he all but stole the show. I was and am a life-long fan of Fay Alexander, and remember thinking as I watched him that not one soul in the seats knew he had revived the triple in the flying act, had been the principal reason the movie TRAPEZE could be filmed, and was revered by all flyers as the logical successor to Codona. To the townies, he was only "that guy with the funny car."
