Larry French. I met him only briefly, on some date where he visited. Maybe on the Castle route. Haven't known of him since.
Thank you, JACKON GIGI: My sentiments exactly.
Larry died at an early age
many years ago maybe with ALS
He was the 1st of 2 tragic
losses of husbands of Carin
Cristiani (who I saw today
at Herta's memorial) The 2nd
was Pete Mortensen who was
killed in a freak accident
as he was helping a motorist
in trouble & hit by a semi
Both were lovely gentlemen
(Carin looks great as ever)
If I knew the words Jackon
I'd be happy to sing along
Carin mentioned that Shirley
is still in happy retirement
in Wild Adventures in Valdosta
She is either 72 or 73 & the
oldest elephant in the USofA
Larry was a great guy, funny as hell. He ruled the nightly blue room poker game's on the old Texas Dates, and cost me a small fortune. I worked with he and Karin twice on the dates, back in the day when they brought in the big herds. Diano's with Lee Keener and 6, Cuneo's with 8, Christiani's with 4, and Buckey Steele with 5. Wonderful, heady day's of "real circus" which I didn't really appreciate until years later, and which I regret with all my heart that my son will never know. I realize the world has to change, but I also have to wonder why it has to.........
