#7 Animal Farms

Compound founder and owner Louis Goebel contributed all the water for the construction of the Ventura Freeway (aka California 101) in this section of the county. If I'm seeing right, that is the pipeline running uphill from some of his wells, so placed to fill the strings of water trucks the roadbed needed for the long months of work. At the crest of this rise was the freeway itself.
