Fred was the gold standard for circus fans and true circus fan till the end.
If it was not for Fred's selling extras to us fans we would have the posters etc today that we prize in our collections.
Fred 111 carries on his Dad's legacy today and a real historian.
God bless you both.

I don't know of many others, if any, that did quite as much for the hobby and for the sheer love of circus history as did Fred, Jr. He really did love the circus and its people from childhood until his passing.

Grace-Swank-Davis and I sat with Fred, III at the convention in Baraboo in 2012 (I think it was 2012). Any way, Fred was very interested in a new book Grace had brought about the photography of Luke Swank, Grace's Grandfather, which included his circus and clown photos. Evidently RBBB researchers had been using his photograph dates for their timeline research for years. And "that's also showbiz", also small world!
