A B&W still from RING OF FEAR with actor Pat O'Brien, Clyde Beatty, Mickey Spillane and Galla Shawn. (I seem to recall reading the Pat O'Brien later delivered the eulogy at Beatty's funeral.)

Yes, he did. I talked to him about it when he day-and-dated us when the Beatty show played Manassas, Virginia, in '81. He was there doing dinner theatre. Jimmy James introduced him to a surprised and very receptive audience. Jimmy helped Mr. O'Brien mount an elephant tub to greet the crowd. Later, he told me of the eulogy, and that I might get a copy from John Wayne's son, Michael--which did not happen. But this gracious and generous gentleman of cinema stood for half an hour telling me of working with Beatty on RING OF FEAR. Footage of the mourners arriving for Beatty's funeral, on July 22, 1965, at the Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, can be found on the internet. Mr. O'Brien is briefly seen, as is Mabel Stark.
