Thanks, Chic. This is a Al Hirschfeld drawing for the NYTIMES from the Broadway revival of "Pippin." It was all new and "enhanced" by being done (on stage) in a circus ring and environment. The circus staging was beautifully accomplished by Gypsy Snider who was born at and grew up with Pickle Family Circus and who finally after years of frustration with backers and funders in San Fancisco, moved to Montreal and started "Sept Doigts de La Main"..."Seven Fingers of the Hand, " a stage "circus" which has been very successful. I have enormous regard for her work-- Paul Binder

Actually, the image is by Ken Fallin, though his style is VERY much like Hirschfeld's.
The wonderful Gypsy Snider-staged PIPPIN revival opened in 2013, and Al Hirschfeld died in 2003.
Gypsy mentioned your name
Paul several times during
rehearsals (all good)
David is correct! I was In a rush to judgement. I met Hirschfeld once at "Living Landmarks." A great talent/intitution But this is by Fallin
