The administration of Wise Council! John Herriott had just concluded a Fair Date with the Baraboo elephants and aware that the Beatty Show would play the Fairgrounds a few days later, laid over. By chance I was enroute with the Polack elephants and having been alerted to the situation made a slight detour to join the gabfest. As I recall it placed 20 elephants on the lot.
