There is much controversy about this stamp. I was backstage at MSG when the artist made the original drawing of Lou for this image. Although there is some rule about no living person may appear on a stamp, the Post Office claims this is not Lou but is a character. The argument has gone on for years.
Of course, it's him. The artist provided a small peak in the black accent line around his mouth, which Lou didn't have, but it's Lou Jacobs all over the world.
