And you've got lots of company. Now THIS is a SPEC!!!
79 Toyland with Dave King at the organ
2 Clown Head pullups missing
79 was my favorite Red Show
On 2nd glance not missing
just slightly out of frame
The 109th Edition was my all-time favorite Red unit edition, too. With the 108th Edition (my all-time favorite Blue unit edition) and the 109th Edition, Irvin Feld (with a little help from Mattel) produced what were probably the two editions in the history of the indoor Ringling-Barnum Circus.
Make that the two BEST editions in the history of the indoor Ringling-Barnum Circus.
The destruction of TGSOE
was only due to greed
Without that original
title there wouldn't be
any Feld Entertainment
AMEN to that Chic....But for some folks...How soon we forget....
I am so sorry my grandkids will never enjoy a RBB&B like my kids did.
Somebody please help me out
Was the "Round We Go" spec
with big wheel kiddie carts
in the 76 Blue Show or what
Some of these images start
to blend memmories together
The tune from that number
has plagued me often but
I liked it all the same
Pippi are you a relative of
our late good friend & the
real brains of that outfit
The respected Allen Bloom
Some of us may forget Charles
but NONE of us will ever forgive
Chic, according to Forbes as of 7/31/17, they are now worth 2.5 billion vs 1.8 billion he was listed as of 2/12/14. Of course when the shows had elephants, it was grossing 1 billion a year.
But instead of taking a victory lap with the elephants after winning the 25 million dollar lawsuit (plus the anti-animals folks had to pay all court costs) they pulled them off the shows. ( I guess everyone can now go to their college reunions )
Would like to know the marketing firm that said it would be O.K. to pull the elephants and that it wouldn't hurt the business??? Really, you win in court after years and years, and you take the money and you let the anti-animal folks win by pulling the elephants off the shows. What in the world did they expect the public to think?????
Grossed a billion a year with the elephants....... (again, according to Forbes)
and Killed one of the oldest name-brands in our country.......
Poor Irvin can't get any rest
He has probably augered down
to middle earth by now & he
certainly wouldn't forgive
Do you think the Felds would ever sell the name to someone else who would want to run it or bring the show back in another form??
