Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
Is this building in Syracuse, NY?
Could be. The Tigris Shrine put on their circuses in the Jefferson Street Armory.
I always hated buildings where you couldn't have a blackout for the matinees which is like doing an outdoor date
This is the Kingston, Pa. armory across the river from Wilkes Barre. I ran lights there for a few years for Hamid. The sun really bet in there for the kiddie matinee.Bob Good
Make that beat and not bet!Bob
You only needed to show up for the evening performances
Bob, you forgot to mention that the acoustics are abominable.
Paul, I always liked the Abominables. There was an old joke with the word Acoustics so I just updated this one.I believe I wore sun glasses when I ran light for matinees there.
Red & yellow were the scheme for Gran Circo Panamericano as well as for the newfangled tensioned vinyl Beatty tops To me those colors would look better with a slender white separator stripe
