This book is great. Lots of pics, lithos, etc. and lots of info. Sometimes you can find it at an Ollie's or perhaps another "cheapie" store. A favorite in my group of "source" books.
I have visited the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming several times. I never walk away unfulfilled. Cody in my estimation was no doubt one of the greatest showmen that ever lived. He lived the wild west as a young man, and then took the wild west to Europe for them to see a glimpse of the American wild west. Brilliant!! He made astounding money. But as with many showmen, he died pretty much broke. I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful photos in this wild west blog edition. By the way, this is my father's (Johnny Hartzell) birthday today. He would have been 104 years old today. I'm glad you and a handful of showmen still help us to remember the old days. Thank you. You are very much appreciated.
