This take Keenen had just helped A.M. for as she supposedly was running away, she got barbed wire caught around her leg. She did a down salute and trumpeted as if in pain. And Keenen got the wire off her leg. After that she followed him, because he helped her. He had his clothes in a bag. So he handed them to her to carry, ( I was a long way off on this.) So I figured we would have to shoot this a few times. Claude & Frank ran up to A.M. & Keenen she puts the bag down, and I thought we had blown that for sure. BUT when they pretended to want to fight with Keenen. Anna May shook her head and trumpeted, she for real did not like that they wanted to hurt Keenen. But he went on and I thought for sure the bag was history. But she picked it up again and put it in her mouth as she was supposed to and went right along with Keenen. She padded her part as she was not supposed to shake her head or act up like she did. They loved it. I was relieved. I didn't like shooting anything far away from her. Always before we would shoot a scene, I would kind of talk to A.M. and get her kind of excited like I would do when I would play with her, and in return she would holler and make her noises. They came to me and ask me if I could get her to make these sounds and they could record it. They said she would be doing her own voice over. So A.M. even did her own voice over. LOL....Barbara....
