Davenport, FL was the home of Circus World. Most of the commercial life was done in Haines City to the south. (Davenport's not so much of a "gooberville" now, more of a "snowbird center".)
The Felds petitioned the
US Postal Service for a new
zip code for "Barnum City"
but they were refused
Would more interesting to tell people I live in Barnum City than explain where Davenport is.
I recall 1 of the building fronts
perhaps a tremendous garbage joint
was titled "Barnum City Station"
Someone must have a photo of it
I just found an image of the
"Barnum City" garbage joint
with Shannon & the locomotive
& 1 car from my Happiness Train
that I built for the 74 Blue Show
I'll send it to Buckles Jim
