#5 Polack Bros.

Parley Baer handled the Publicity for the Polack Show when we were there.
I asked my wife who the lady was and she said it was a girl friend of Ben.

Parley's publicity work began in earnest when he wrote for the Barnes show. At the time, the winterquarters was in Baldwin Park, and there, in 1936, he collaborated with Mabel Stark on major stories for her. Mabel was taken by Parley's sincerity and friendliness, and he was among the very few she trusted. They remained great personal friends for the next 32 years, and Parley suffered dearly at her passing.
