I tried to get Irving Feld to let me get some one to cover Anna May's headpiece like we did the Woodcock elephant's and then Polack elephants. Joanne Pinson Wilson did them on Polack. And Louie Stern paid her. I did it for our three Woodcock elephants. My family helped me do them at the start of the season. But there was constantly having to sew new stones on the gold stretch material, and replacing straps. Just one elephant would not have been too bad, but I was unable to do it myself by then because of my back. He wanted me to use the RBB&B headpiece. They would not work for my mounts called for more places to place your hands for the mounts, & the big plate in the center left no room on top of her head to do mounts. Sure would have looked nice......Barbara....
