#2 Showmen!

The Ortons somehow had an involvement with Mr. Cole, in later conversation he was slandered thoroughly so they must have gotten the short end of the deal!

W.W. Cole's mother, Mary Ann, was married to one of the Ortons. She divorced him when he took up with the lady snake charmer.
