Pat, We all learned a lot from this great showman, performers and fans. What I miss is all those great jackpots he had and never met a stranger. With it and for it till the end and I am sure he is up in heaven with the rest of the greats putting on a 12 ring circus. Tex Dreyfus, Pete Holmes and I had many a great time with D. R. I wonder what he would say today as to what show business is today??????? Gone but not forgotten. Harry in Texas Pat you added a lot of class to Carson and Barnes and your cat act was a real winner.
That's really nice, Harry. Thank you. You know, I learned as much about myself as I did about circus through that decade. Mr. Miller's confidence in my abilities- even when I was unsure myself- encouraged me to dig deep and take a lot of deep breaths to forge ahead, because I didn't want to disappoint him. I'll always be grateful to him for that. Everybody needs someone to believe in them, even when the rest of the world seems skeptical. If you need a crash course in life lessons, join the circus...!
I met Mr. Miller in 1981, my step father, Harry Nelson had the side show and I was a 17 yr. old kid who just drank up every word Mr. Miller would say to me. What a wonderful and memorable man he was. Pat, I also loved your cat act. I have a photo of one yawning that people still to this day think how mean it looks. lol-

Yes!
My personal favorite! Mr. Miller always there, chewing Red Man in his chair... a real honor to have worked for him.
