MOGAMBO was filmed on location in Africa. Gable co-starred with Ava Gardner, who was married to Frank Sinatra at the time. Frank didn't trust either Clark or Ava, and MGM had to pay his way over for the whole shoot. Frank found Gable a great guy, and the three of them became fast friends. But the 2nd female lead was a young Grace Kelly, and her yearnings for the much older Gable led to some interesting gossip.
