This looks like a really bad idea, even though the two on the bottom left appear to be sound asleep. Nobody but nobody could have persuaded me to do this. Just my personal sense of self preservation, I guess.
If you ever read his book, he gets torn up just about every time he turned around. No wonder.
Yes Bob, "Lions, Tigers & Me" Great book, one of the few in my life I've read in about one day. He mentions therein doing this trick when there was a power failure and the screams from the audience when the lights came back on as they could not see him ay first and thought he had been devoured.
One cat act portrays the felines as blood thirsty savage beasts that need to be beaten off with whip and chair. Then another trainer/presenter rides them or lays on top of them. No wonder audiences can't figure out which is the real fact.
