Yessir again Bob. I went to college in Williamsport, Pa. and those roars at night driving up the backside of Bald Eagle Mountain sure made dates cozy real nice . . . back in the days when cars had bench seats.
I take exception to the comment on Keller's wardrobe. George had a great act and was a great guy. Being an ex art professor he paid a lot of attention to his props and wardrobe. Last time I remember seeing him was on Ringling. In the fifties I saw him often at the Allentown Fair. He was a very charismatic guy just like Damoo, Clyde, and some others.
George Keller was a very nice performer to be around. I have read his book and know his publicity. And his first full time out with a circus unit was for E. Don McCullough's, Eagles Circus which opened in Dayton, Ohio, Jan, 8, 1947 and closed in Springfield, March 1. The show laid off for two weeks before opening in Gary, Ind., but we went on to open with Bailey Bros. in Newberry, SC I remember it as a good show and a great time. Lots of info in Billboard.

George Keller's book "Here Keller, Train this" is still a fascinating read.

The pattern on his jacket
sure upstages the cat
