My wife and Ben took the three small Kellner elephants to Hawaii for an engagement with E.K. Fernandez Circus.

First Honey, that was on the lot on arrival. The bulls were flown in crates, and they made them too big. And the elephants were really shook up. They were able to turn around in the crates So I refused to unload them at the airport. That was on the lot. I told them that they would just eat the flowers. Of course they did. Ben was 16 years old. He was great help. The hand we took was only with us a couple of weeks before we went to Hawaii, and he was from Hawaii so he was no use at all. Shannon was four months old. And Ben was a fantastic help with him too. Buckles wanted to take care of him, saying it would be easier for me. and it would have been easier. And Buckles would have done a great job with Shannon. I just couldn't stand to be away from him. We worked for the Jay-Cs Sponsors of the Circus. They were supposed to feed the elephants, but when the hey ran out they tried to get us to feed them straw & sawdust. I said " NO HEY NO ACT." ( Ben & I underdressed.) So we could stall to the last minute. We got the hey and they got the act. IT WAS CLOSE. We had a good time after all the drama in Hawaii was over........Barbara........

Wow. Some times you just have to get tough and put your foot down. Despite having bad help and a riff about the feed all went well. Munzie you are so beautiful in all these pictures and you are such a poser! Hot, hot, hot!
