Fanny Fox was the stripper whose "association" with Congressman Wilbur Mills proved rather damaging. During "a visit" in a parked car, a suspicious D.C. cop rolled up on the two. Fanny bounded from the car and leapt into the Tidal Basin, hoping to swim to seclusion. They fished her out, and news crews had a field day with poor Wilbur. But Fanny's act as a stripper thrived. She went from $3,500 a week to $15,000.
