.....here they are at the local Dealership where they remained long enough to relieve themselves than back to the lot.

I remember well the Chevrolet sponsorship on the show and the elephant blankets. It was around 1960 when I was 14 the KM played in a field behind my house in Ponca City. When they left the next day I found a pile of 4 or 5 of the Chevy blankets. I hauled one home - chiseled the webbing off it - scrubbed it (I couldn't ever get the elephant smell out of it) - and made a pup tent out of it.
