Ben was a very intelligent man. He carried a lot of books with him everywhere he/we went. Whenever we were off season for our family night if we had money we would go to the book store. If there was a lack of money, we would spend our evening at the library. He would always have an armful of books to take out. When we got off the road in '95, we both went to the local junior college. He would take 14 credits a semester. He could handle that load. He was smart.
