Chester Juszyk was a great guy, and for years until his tragic injuries in the cage, was Head Trainer at Jungleland. He was attacked by Brutus lion on Sunday, February 28, 1965. Dick McGraw fought Brutus off Chet, and Lou Regan came in and dragged Chet out. Chet survived, but was never able to work cats again. He later operated a successful animal dealership, and brought me two young lions on the Castle show. Chet died at 81, on January 9, 2011, of complications of a broken hip. There are photos and my obit for him on this site from that date.
