#15 King Bros.

Burt and Johnny came to the King Show when Mr. King purchased the Cole Bros. elephants and horses being held at the Paul Kelly winter Quarters in Peru, Ind. in 1955 but due to a pre-existing Contract had to leave the show the last five weeks to play the Texas Shrine dates. The Kelly-Miller season had ended so he rented two acts from D.R. Miller and the upshot was he sent Freddy Logan with a 3-act and the Miller-Woodcock act. Shortly after we arrived I started firing at this good looking Blonde Chick but all she could talk about was her boy friend who had been included in the Texas deal. As it turned out, the Show played near Houston and one morning she comes charging across the lot saying, "Here he is!.....Johnny Herriott!
